Having experienced the University at Buffalo Department of Urology as both a resident and a faculty member has given me a unique appreciation for the culture, outstanding mentorship, and commitment to resident education that define our department. That perspective has only reinforced what makes this program so special.

Our residents are a close-knit group who genuinely support one another, creating an environment where questions are encouraged, learning is continuous, and professional growth is prioritized. The diverse clinical training across multiple hospitals provides exceptional exposure to a broad range of urologic conditions, while the graduated autonomy and strong faculty mentorship prepare residents to become confident, independent surgeons.

As a faculty member, it is incredibly rewarding to help train the next generation of urologists within a program that invests so deeply in its residents' success.
