This classroom is a gift from members of the Medical Alumni Association of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. It is dedicated to highlighting and preserving the legacy and traditions of the association. It also demonstrates to students that loyalty to the school is essential to its continued success.
The Medical Alumni Association has a long history of supporting the medical students and alumni of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. In 1922, the first Alumni Club opened in the General Hayes Building on North Street, and 800 of its members supported the purchase of the building in UB’s first campaign, led by Walter P. Cooke. By supporting this classroom the organization continues its tradition of philanthropic support.
The Medical Alumni Association is proud to sponsor milestone events and programs that keep alumni connected to the school and support students while they pursue a medical degree.
