This Reading Room is a gift from the Lawrence P. Castellani Family Foundation in honor of three individuals associated with the University at Buffalo: UB Council Chairman Jeremy M. Jacobs; L. Nelson Hopkins III, MD, SUNY Distinguished Professor of Neurosurgery; and William Greiner, the university’s 13th president.

In addition to Lawrence Castellani, the Foundation is represented by his wife, Joan J. Castellani, and their children, Lawrence Castellani Jr. and Julianne Castellani Vardan.

Lifelong residents of Western New York, the Castellanis recognize the positive impact the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences has on health care in our community and made this gift to help ensure the continuation of this legacy.
