Watch: ChatGPT Lunch and Learn session for faculty

On February 14, 2023, UB faculty took part in a virtual session about the artificial intelligence text program, ChatGPT, and how it can impact the classroom.  

The one-hour Zoom session featured an overview of the AI program as well as  discussions on how ChatGPT can have both positive and negative effects in the classroom. 

ChatGPT (Generative Pre-Trained Transformer) launched in November 2022 by research laboratory, OpenAI. It allows people to use artificial intelligence to generate any sort of text, whether it be an email or an essay.  
 
UB faculty learned more about important academic integrity issues being raised with ChatGPT as well as some helpful strategies to embrace this new technology in the classroom.
