Work in the Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC)? Faculty, staff and students can now connect to eduroam, UB’s official and secure Wi-Fi network in the 5th through 8th floors of the CTRC.

Expanding eduroam

The latest expansion of eduroam brings University at Buffalo’s official Wi-Fi network to the CTRC, which occupies the top four floors of the Gates Vascular Institute, owned and operated by Kaleida Health. The CTRC is owned and operated by UB and serves as the academic hub for clinical and translational research in Buffalo.

Why eduroam?

eduroam is UB’s secure, encrypted Wi-Fi network, available across all three UB campuses and at thousands of participating locations worldwide. Once configured, your devices will automatically connect to eduroam whenever it’s available, including the newly covered CTRC floors.

If you’ve already set up your devices to connect to eduroam, you’ll connect seamlessly to eduroam when you are on CTRC floors 5-8.

Need help connecting?

UB Information Technology offers step-by-step guides for connecting your devices to eduroam on our website. You can even use the Wi-Fi Connection Wizard to set up your devices from home.

Need more help? The UBIT Help Center is available to set up your devices to connect to eduroam Wi-Fi. Give them a call at 716-645-3542 or visit buffalo.edu/ubit/help to submit a ticket. Students can also reach out to The UB Tech Squad for help. Book an appointment online to have them meet you anywhere on North or South Campus.
