On May 31st, UBIT will roll out an update to the TDWorkManagement (formerly TDNext) interface to the UBIT Help Center’s support.buffalo.edu ticketing system, introducing a refreshed look and improved experience. There won’t be any changes to public-facing portals, forms, or knowledge base content.

What's changing

The updated interface offers a fresh, modern look with easier navigation and improved features. When submitting tickets, you’ll notice fewer pop-up windows, simpler workflows, and a redesigned dashboard experience (previously called Desktops).

What's changing

The updated interface offers a fresh, modern look with easier navigation and improved features. When submitting tickets, you’ll notice fewer pop-up windows, simpler workflows, and a redesigned dashboard experience (previously called Desktops).

Key enhancements

  • Side panel view: When opening an item, it now appears in a side panel, so you can keep your main page in view while working. You can open multiple panels at once and even pop them out into full tabs if needed.
  • Persistent tabs: Your TDX tabs now stay open between sessions and work seamlessly with the side panel view, making it easier to stay organized and pick up right where you left off.

Improved left navigation panel

  • Projects will open in a new application tab.

Dashboards replace Desktops

Desktops are now Dashboards, and they’re getting an upgrade. Your existing Desktops will automatically convert, and the new Dashboards offer:

  • A flexible layout editor so you can customize the design
  • Dynamic widgets that let you filter, sort, and group information
  • New widget options for things like Assets, CIs, Project Requests, Portfolios, Programs, Tickets, and Ticket Tasks
