May 2025 grads: Congratulations on your recent graduation from UB! As you take your next steps, here’s what to expect regarding your access to UBmail and other university technology services.

UBmail access ending December 15, 2025

Due to new SUNY cybersecurity requirements, your UBmail account will be retired on December 15, 2025. Before this date, please provide an alternate email address so UB can stay in touch with you after your UBmail is deactivated.

What you should do before December 15

  • Export your contacts and save important emails
  • Notify your contacts of your new email address
  • Update accounts that use your @buffalo.edu email—such as job applications, banking, and social media
  • Transfer any files from OneDrive, UBbox, or UBfs

Other services that will end six months after graduation

  • UB-provided software (Microsoft 365, Zoom, Teams)
  • Access to public computing sites and UB Print Anywhere
  • UB personal website hosting
  • Cloud storage (UBbox, OneDrive, UBfs)

Continued access to MyUB and HUB

You will retain access to MyUB and HUB for as long as you need them. No action required.
