Think you can outsmart cybercriminals? Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Student Union 210 for the Buffalo Breach, a cybersecurity-themed escape room where UB students will race to stop the “Frostbyte Syndicate’s” nefarious plans.

To help celebrate National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, this event offers a fun, hands-on way to test your problem-solving skills and learn how to stay safe online while earning fun prizes. You’ll team up with fellow students to tackle challenges like password cracking, clue hunting, decoding messages, and uncovering hidden USB traps, all designed to simulate real-world cybersecurity threats.

Space is very limited. Register online.

Win prizes

Participants can win UBIT gift bags featuring a UBIT goose t-shirt, silly goose stress ball, connection wizard or dark goose sticker, and UBIT cups. Everyone who completes the escape room will receive a certificate of completion.
