From free software and device discounts to secure Wi-Fi, gaming, printing, and expert tech help, UB Information Technology has you covered as a UB student.
The Tech Squad are your tech superheroes at UB. They can help you for free in the Silverman Library on North Campus, no appointment necessary. Not near the library? You can schedule a time for Tech Squad to meet you anywhere on North or South Campus to help you troubleshoot your tech.
Looking for a laptop? Students are eligible to purchase computers with educational discounts. UB offers student discounts with Dell, Apple and Lenovo. Don’t forget to check UB’s minimum computer recommendations for students.
As a UB student, you get access to tons of free software like Microsoft 365, Zoom, Adobe Express, UB Box cloud storage and more. Software is available either online to download or at one of our public computing sites.
UB provides plenty of public computing sites on North and South Campus to help you get your work done. With PCs, Macs, study stations, Ultrawide monitors and software like Adobe Creative Cloud, you have everything you need to get those assignments done.
Students receive hundreds of free pages per semester to print assignments at any one of our UB Print Anywhere kiosks, located all over campus. Download the Wepa app to print from your smartphone or swipe your UB card at a kiosk touchscreen to print on the go.
eduroam is UB’s official, safe and secure Wi-Fi network – available on all three campuses. eduroam is also available at thousands of participating locations around the world. You can even set up eduroam Wi-Fi on your devices before you arrive on campus.
Need a study break? Level Up is UB’s state-of-the-art gaming lounge and esports arena at Lockwood 2 North, just across from the Lockwood Library. Level Up has dozens of games available on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox. Just reserve a space and ready up!
