UB Students: Did you know that UBIT offers free downloads of software on your personal devices, giving you everything you need to excel? From Microsoft 365 and Zoom to cloud storage like UB Box and OneDrive, and even virus protection, learn how you can access these offerings.
Microsoft 365: All Microsoft Office apps can be downloaded on your laptop, smartphone, or tablet, keeping you connected and productive. You can install any of the following and more:
UB Zoom: Use Zoom’s meetings to connect to office hours or collaborate with classmates virtually.
UB Box: Keep all your assignments organized and protected by storing them in your free 128 GB of Box storage.
EndNote: EndNote makes writing and managing references for essays and reports simple.
You can access more software for free by visiting one of UB’s public computing sites on North or South Campus. The iMac stations at Silverman, Lockwood, and Abbott libraries feature the entire Adobe Creative Cloud suite of apps, available for free!
Need access to software available at UB’s public computing sites, but you’re not on campus? My Virtual Public Site allows you to access software available on UB’s PC stations with your own device.
To download on your personal Windows, Mac, or Linux computer, visit UBIT’s website at buffalo.edu/ubit/software.
Additional software may also be available to you through your major. Reach out to your department for more information.
The UB Tech Squad can help get your device set up with all these offerings! Visit their walk-up location on the 3rd floor of Silverman Library, give them a call at 716-645-3542, or book an appointment at buffalo.edu/ubit/help to have Tech Squad come to you anywhere on North or South Campus!
