Research Description

I research the metal cation-binding antifungal peptide Histatin 5, and the ability of zinc binding to increase killing activity against the oral opportunistic pathogen [Candida albicans]italicize. I am currently looking at stress-signaling induced changes in the cell wall caused by zinc bound Histatin 5.
