These two campus facilities offer you a first-class environment in which to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in UB’s Division 1 athletes.

UB’s training rooms consist of the Smolinski Family Sports Medicine Center, training room for the UB Bulls Football Team, and the Michael Rielly Athletic Training Center.

The Smolinski Family Sports Medicine Center, which recently received a $3 million upgrade, features:

  • 2 patient exam rooms
  • 2 inground hydrotherapy pools
  • an underwater treadmill
  • 8 taping stations
  • 8 treatment tables
  • bikes, treadmills, upper body ergometer
  • other rehabilitation equipment

The Rielly Athletic Training Center features:

  • 2 patient exam rooms
  • 3 hydrotherapy whirlpool tubs
  • 3 taping stations
  • 3 treatment tables
  • bikes, upper body ergometer
  • other rehabilitation equipment

Both centers are located on UB’s North Campus.

Training

Between your training room coverage and your primary care continuity clinic, you’ll train daily at these sites.

Additionally, you’ll perform preparticipation physicals on UB athletes here during the early spring and fall.
