Hospitalist

Become a part of new growth in an academic setting with many benefits. The Department of Medicine seeks highly motivated and experienced board-certified or board-eligible internists interested in academic careers combining inpatient care with teaching.

Position Summary

The successful hospitalist will be appointed at the rank of clinical assistant/associate professor. The hospitalist will be part of a patient-centered team dedicated to providing compassionate care to a diverse vulnerable population while teaching and supervising residents and students. 

Teaching and non-teaching positions are available, along with opportunities to participate in primary care research and quality improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in internal medicine
  • Eligible for New York state medical licensure
  • Current and unrestricted DEA certificate
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to creatively solve problems and multitask
