How to Apply

We accept three fellows into our clinical neurophysiology program each year and welcome inquiries from highly motivated applicants.

Eligibility

To enter our program, you must:

  • complete an adult or child neurology residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
  • hold a J-1 visa — or, with special permission, an H-1B visa (for international candidates)

Required Documentation

To be considered, please submit:

  • United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) step 1 and 2 scores
  • three letters of recommendation from electroencephalography or electromyography faculty or others familiar with your medical knowledge
  • curriculum vitae 
  • medical school diploma
  • proof of residency graduation (if you’ve completed it before applying)
  • personal statement that briefly explains your interest in clinical neurophysiology and reflects your communication skills

Interviews

If selected, you’ll be invited to an on-site interview. Our clinical neurophysiology faculty will evaluate your medical knowledge, oral communication skills and professionalism. You’ll also visit our clinical training sites.

We interview applicants up to 24 months before their anticipated start date.
