How to Apply

We are committed to admitting applicants of the highest quality from diverse backgrounds.

Number of Residents Accepted

Our program is competitive and selective. Each year we receive nearly 600 applications and conduct approximately 75 interviews.

Our residency boasts a low resident-to-faculty ratio. We have a total of 35 residents in our program, and we accept only 8 new residents per year.

Submitting Your Application

We accept applications for our residency program through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) beginning Sept. 15 of each year.

All candidates must participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

Deadline

Nov. 15 of each year

Eligibility

To apply for our program, you must meet these qualifications:

  • graduated from medical school within the past three years
  • must have taken USMLE and/or COMEX Step I and II with passing scores — no minimum score requirement
  • if you’re not a U.S. citizen, you must be eligible to obtain a J-1 visa

Application Requirements

Through ERAS, the following must be submitted:

  • CV

Interviews

We conduct interviews during three Wednesday mornings and two Saturday mornings from the end of November to mid-December.

We host an optional meet-and-greet with some of the current residents at a local restaurant the evening prior to the resident interview day.

Generally, each candidate is interviewed by the chair, program director, a faculty member and a pair of residents.
