UROLOGY RESIDENT, ’27

On my interview day with the UB urology residency program, I felt an authentic sense of camaraderie. Every day since I’ve joined this program, that sense of camaraderie has been reaffirmed.

I left the hospital after a tough call shift one day and discovered that I had a flat tire. Within three minutes of telling my co-residents about this in our resident group chat, I had received three phone calls from my co-residents offering to give me a ride. We go out of our way to lift each other up on a daily basis.

As if the positive working environment isn’t enough, we have a truly top notch training experience. Our faculty put our education in our own hands by allowing us to diagnose and treat patients to the best of our ability, while standing alongside us to teach and guide us at all times. The diversity of patients we see, and the live feedback we get from our faculty and more senior residents, accelerates our learning experience in a tangible way everyday.

I am extremely fortunate to be a UB urology resident. The camaraderie, learning and momentum that this program offers is unmatched.

Our five-year urology residency program prepares our trainees to safely and effectively care for patients. We help our residents develop the skills and knowledge they need to practice robotic surgery and all urologic procedures. We are known for our distinguished faculty, unparalleled training opportunities and compassionate patient care.
