The fund supports students in good standing who have completed their first year of medical school and plan to participate in a summer clinical experience in a global health care setting abroad.
The Glasauer Externship Fund is a three- to six-week clinically based program fund donated by Franz E. Glasauer, MD, and Elizabeth Glasauer.
The fund facilitates overseas experiences for medical students by giving them opportunities to provide direct patient care and participate in research efforts that benefit international health care markets — particularly in developing countries or international medically underserved regions.
