The April 14 event drew master’s students from universities throughout upstate New York and southern Ontario.

Attendees from a wide variety of disciplines shared original research and artistic endeavors in poster sessions, panel presentations and creative performances.

The following UB students presented posters on their research projects, including results from the innovative pathway genome annotations project begun by faculty in the department:

  • Amriti Lulla
  • Pooja Gudibanda
  • Rajani Marthappa Chenoy
  • Rohini Narayanaswamy
  • Anand Parekh
  • Dhruv Chachad
  • Abhishek Parmar

“MS-level students are often overshadowed by doctoral students or postdoctoral fellows at research forums and, in many cases, don’t have an opportunity to present,” said Stephen Koury, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Biotechnical and Clinical Laboratory Sciences, who accompanied the students along with Rama Dey-Rao, PhD, a clinical assistant professor.

“The conference at Brockport provided our students a good opportunity to prepare a research poster, hone their presentation skills and interact with other students at the same stage in their career.”
