The 165th commencement for the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences was held on April 29, 2011, at the Center for the Arts on the North Campus.
This year, the school conferred 140 degrees, as follow:
The honored speaker was Susan Dentzer, editor-in-chief of Health Affairs. One of the nation’s most respected health and health policy journalists, Dentzer is an on-air analyst with the “PBS NewsHour,” and a frequent guest and commentator on such National Public Radio shows as “This American Life” and “The Diane Rehm Show.” Dentzer is also an elected member of the Institute of Medicine and the Council on Foreign Relations.
