1. Understand the fundamentals of the Bio-psycho-socio-spiritual model of health care
2. Rationale for research about recognizing the Spiritual dimension and the role of Health Care Practitioners to address Spiritual issues in Primary Care
Brief Presenter Biosketch:
Dr. Sushama Kotmire completed her residency at ECMC, Department of Family Medicine at University of Buffalo and has practiced in the Olean area for the last 15 years. She completed the Mini-Fellowship/ Faculty development course in 2011 where Spiritual Health was the focus of her research. She has participated in Primary Care Research Forum being a volunteer faculty with the Department of Family Medicine at UB since 2012. Currently working as Family Physician at the Seneca Nation Health System in Salamanca, she practices the full spectrum of family medicine.
