At this workshop Kyla Fallin (Social Work) will share her manuscript: “Parenting education workshops for pregnant women in substance abuse treatment for opioid dependence in an ambulatory clinic” (abstract attached; draft forthcoming).

We will also have a journal club activity to discuss the following article (from last month):

Nickerson J, Lee E, Nedelman M, Aurora RN, Krieger A, Horowitz CR. Feasibility of portable sleep monitors to detect obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in a vulnerable urban population. JABFM. Mar-Apr 2015;28(2):257-264.

Here are some helpful guidelines/questions suggested by Andy for reading this article:

• Is the subject important?
• Is the study well-done?
• Are the findings credible?
• Do they add anything to what’s known? Provide a basis to take any sort of action?
• Should this have been published (why?)
