This meeting is part of a series of GEM Science Work in Progress style meetings held on the 4th Monday of each month. These meetings offer a relatively informal presentation of ongoing GEM-related scientific research.GEM Scientific meetings will rotate between 3 campuses, with this meeting located in the Holm Commons at CBLS on UB's downtown campus.

May's featured speaker will be Dr. Sriram Neelamegham. In his presentation titled "Glycoscience: The art of making sugars of different kinds", Dr. Neelamegham will discuss the basics of glycobiology, relevance to human-microbiome interactions and analysis methods to assay the glycome.
