Responsible Data Management is the job of every investigator. There are painful penalties for violation of responsible data management. Irresponsible data management can lead to false results and improper publication which can in turn lead to your manuscript being retracted. There are accepted policies and procedures to protect yourself from irresponsible data management and to protect yourself from the consequences of an audit. You will learn how to responsibly handle your research data and where, when and how to report data breaches should they occur.

These workshops will offer a refresher to the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) CITI course and will include didactic presentations, case studies and discussion. They are self-contained modules and free of charge to all in the Buffalo Translational Consortium. Participants are eligible to receive a CTSI Certificate of Completion.
