The Jacobs School of Medicine at the University at Buffalo is located on the Main Street South campus of the University (not on the Amherst campus). The school is easily accessed from Bailey Avenue at a point that is halfway between Main Street and Winspear Avenue, almost directly across from the VA Hospital.
The easiest route to South Campus by car is the NYS Thruway (I-90). Take Exit #50 to the junction of I-290 (the Youngman Expressway). Follow the Youngman north for about ½ mile to the Main Street West exit. Stay on Main St. (Route 5) west for about 3 miles. Turn LEFT onto Bailey Avenue (Route 62) south and pass the first traffic light, which approaches very quickly. Turn RIGHT at the second traffic signal (Sherman Road). The medical school complex will be on your right, and you should park in the Sherman Lot on your left.
DO NOT PARK IN THE DIEFENDORF LOT FOR FACULTY/STAFF OR YOU WILL BE TICKETED!
The Office of Medical Education is located on the ground floor of the Biomedical Education Building (BEB) next to the atrium.
To get to the BEB Atrium from the Sherman parking lot (see walking map below): cross Sherman Road, turn to your LEFT (west), and follow the sidewalk as it curves to the right (northwest). Once you arrive at the BEB sign, turn right (north) and follow the sidewalk straight to the BEB; the atrium is just inside the glass doors. The Office of Medical Education will be located to your left, in Room 40 on the ground floor of the BEB.
