She has made such an impact on her community, children and women’s health, and continues to educate the next generation, paving the way for so many health professionals.
We are inspired by her journey and message she has for others. Dr. Hayes was amongst the first black females to be admitted into the Jacobs School and she turned down acceptance from Harvard to come to UB. As she continues to influence and touch so many people - we are proud to be able to recognize Dr. Hayes for her commitment to UB, community health and to children and families for almost 50 years.
