The UB|EM Grand Rounds series takes place each Wednesday morning throughout the year (except during ACEP, Christmas/New Year's, SAEM, and after EM3 graduation). Sessions consist of second and third year resident speakers, EM faculty and visiting lecturers.
Our program offers both traditional didactic style lectures as well as monthly small group sessions that focus on both pediatric and adult resuscitation cases.
We also have monthly EKG review lectures and Morbidity and Mortality conferences.
We have multiple sessions throughout the year where the third year residents have a chance to practice for their oral boards, while junior residents have the opportunity to listen and learn.
We have Fall and Spring sessions dedicated to Toxicology, where our colleagues from SUNY Upstate Poison Control Center provide excellent teaching in this area.
