Epilepsy Journal Club

Learn to skillfully appraise current literature in our field, and benefit from rich opportunities to exchange knowledge with colleagues and faculty members.

Prior to each journal club meeting, we assign articles to review, and we ask each of our fellows to present one paper with a 30-minute presentation. You’ll critically evaluate methodology, statistical analysis, conclusions and fallacies.

You can expect to have thought-provoking discussions about peer-reviewed publications with knowledgeable faculty members who will help you hone your critical evaluation abilities. We carefully select articles that provide you with key information on advances in epilepsy and neurology, and we ensure that we cover both pediatric and adult topics.

If you want to stay current in epilepsy and strengthen your analytical skills, it’s crucial that you attend all journal club conferences — so we’ve made journal club a required component of our program.

You will usually discuss two articles per session.
