How to Apply

Candidate Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited medical school
  • Successful completion of USMLE I and II
  • U.S. clinical experience preferred, but not required
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation
  • Completion of the application and interview process

Submitting Your Application

The Division of Vascular Surgery participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). We match with one resident each year. Apply through ERAS ERAS® Program for Institutions | AAMC

All application material must be completed and submitted prior to scheduling an interview. Applications are reviewed at the end of September when ERAS opens.

Interview Invitations

Our selection process aims to maximize applicant-program fit and ensure all applicants have an equitable opportunity to demonstrate their skills and capabilities. High-potential candidates will be asked to respond to an additional prompt that is reviewed by the Program Director. Candidates will then be selected from that pool to schedule an interview.

Interviews

We hold three (3) interview days that are held November – January. Interviews are conducted virtually via zoom.

Faculty interviewers have been equipped with the knowledge and skills to conduct structured, unbiased, and job-related interviews so that all candidates have a fair opportunity to demonstrate their competencies. Our interview days include a brief presentation given by the program director, interviews with faculty members including program director and associate program director, and interactions with our current residents.
