Forty-three outstanding medical students, residents, fellows and faculty members have been inducted into the University at Buffalo’s Richard Sarkin Medical Emeritus Faculty Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS).
Reflecting more opportunity for resident input and strong community partnerships, the University at Buffalo’s residency training programs in surgery and pediatric surgery have been granted full accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Carroll McWilliams (Mac) Harmon, MD, PhD, an internationally recognized leader in minimally invasive surgery and the treatment of adolescent obesity, has been named professor and chief of pediatric surgery in the University at Buffalo’s Department of Surgery.
