I study brain structure and function in healthy individuals and patients with neurological disorders. My current research focuses on understanding the causes and consequences of altered brain iron levels in people with multiple sclerosis. My ultimate goal is to improve medical treatment options for patients with neurological disorders. Previous projects have included delineating brain-network interactions between the explicit and implicit memory systems, and characterizing the EEG-based cortical responses to single-pulse transcranial magnetic stimulation.
