Our clinical lab sciences programs take advantage of their position within the medical school to ensure you get on-the-job training through internships and rotations in the school’s affiliated hospitals and clinics. In our classes, you will train on state-of-the-art lab equipment and learn clinical and research techniques from professionals actively working in your field.
Undergraduate Research
Our research opportunities include summer or academic year fellowships sponsored by professional societies, volunteer positions in both basic and clinical sciences faculty labs, work in school-affiliated research centers, and independent study to develop honors theses.
Our independent study programs give you the chance to pursue your research interests at an advanced level. You can conduct independent research under a mentor’s guidance or collaborate on ongoing projects in a mentor’s laboratory. Some area agencies also offer experience-building volunteer opportunities.
Internships & Rotations
Our internships and rotations at sites including area hospitals, clinics, labs, and research and development companies let you apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to research and professional environments.
Our internships provide you with tangible accomplishments. You may design an informational brochure, computerize an inventory system or even develop procedures your host site will put into practice. These will help you stand out at job interviews and on graduate school applications.
