Pediatric Urology
Dr. Ahmad Zakaria Mohamed graduated from Kasr El-Ainy Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt in 2000. He completed his internship and Urology residency there. He then joined the faculty in Cairo University and specialized in Pediatric Urology. He came to the USA in 2009, to Pittsburgh PA first, where he did clinical research and worked on his PhD thesis. He finished a Pediatric Urology fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus OH in 2013.
He has some basic science experience in the fields of urinary tract infection in children, and obstructive uropathy in animal models. He has several publications in a variety of fields in pediatric urology. His practice covers all pediatric urologic conditions, and he has special interest in reconstructive surgery, disorders of sexual differentiation and bladder dysfunction.
He worked as a pediatric Urologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Louisville in Kentucky from 2014 to 2021, before moving to Buffalo and joining John R. Oichei Children's Hospital and the University of Buffalo as clinical faculty.
