I am interested in post partum care for mothers.
Understanding that the post partum period extends for 1 year, I am most interested in the first 2 weeks.
I am working with Luann Brown of the Prenatal/ Perinatal Network in setting up a medical post partum follow up in Mother's home.
This would coordinate already established Doulas and VNA.
We hope to decrease post hospital readmission for : post partum hemorrhage, hyperbilirubinemia.
Most importantly we hope to support mothers and hopefully decrease post partum depression.
