Welcome to UB Graduate Medical Education! We offer 70+ ACGME-accredited programs across a broad spectrum of surgical and medical disciplines. With multiple training sites based at urban and rural sites throughout Western New York, our residency and fellowship programs provide challenging and rewarding clinical and educational experiences.
The UB GME Office offers educational programs and support to all residents and fellows to foster professional success and personal wellbeing. From the first day of training, residents are part of the UB educational community, which values professionalism, humanism, learning, collegiality, and peer-support.
Residents and fellows are an important part of Buffalo’s academic and medical community. Working with program directors and hospital leaders, we ensure that our GME programs are conducted in full compliance with the guidelines of the ACGME and the highest academic standards of excellence of the University at Buffalo.
Trainees at UB are provided with our fullest support to pursue the challenging goals of a rewarding professional career.
The Office of Graduate Medical Education is participating in the 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge organized by United Way. Join the challenge and get involved talking about race in the workplace and everywhere you can.
