Before you can connect to the many tools, resources and services on campus, you must activate your UBITName account.
Shortly after you receive an offer of admission, you will be emailed instructions on how to access your UBITName and person number along with instructions for activating your account.
Once you have your UBITName, person number and one-time use password, you can activate your UBITName account.
Activate your UBITName, change your password and manage your security questions through the UBITName Manager.
For your security, your UBITName account is protected by Duo two-step verification. Duo is required to access important UB services like MyUB, HUB Student Center and UB Learns.
The UB Online Directory lists students and employees at UB. You can update your user-supplied information in the UB Online Directory.

Returning graduates and previously accepted applicants do not receive a one-time use password. Contact the UBIT Help Center if you do not remember your old password.
You will receive your UBITName and person number 72 hours after the Office of International Admissions has verified your application materials. This may happen days or weeks after you have been accepted by your department. It is your department’s responsibility to forward your documents to the Office of International Admissions for review.
