Researchers in the Dept of Surgery at the University at Buffalo are seeking surgery residents and M3/M4 medical students to participate in a study evaluating the effect of laparoscopic surgery simulation on task performance.

We are writing to invite you to participate in this study; your contact information was obtained from the Department of Surgery at UB.

The study involves training on laparoscopic simulators in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences followed by assessment on the same equipment and also in the operating room, if applicable. The majority of study involvement will take place in the first month, with operating room assessment occurring within 6 months. Total study time will not exceed 15 hours, and will most likely be less. Compensation in the form of a $75 Amazon gift card will be provided.

Remember, participation is completely voluntary. If you would like to participate or have any questions about the study, please feel free to contact us by email at ariannet@buffalo.edu or jrfnarvaez1@gmail.com, by phone at 562 261 3551.
