Our thanks to Dr. Carla Pugh, Professor of Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine for presenting at our Grand Rounds on 12/6/18, “Hacking Healthcare with Sensors: Unfolding the Metrics of Physician Expertise”.
Dr. Pugh is also the Director of the Technology Enabled Clinical Improvement (T.E.C.I.) Center. She is the first surgeon in the United States to obtain a PhD in Education and has been inducted into the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. In 2011, Dr. Pugh received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers from President Barak Obama.
