Robert Baker, MD, PhD, professor of pediatrics, has co-authored an American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) clinical report that sets guidelines to increase iron intake in infants and children, and to improve screening methods.
The report, titled "Diagnosis and Prevention of Iron Deficiency and Iron-Deficiency Anemia in Infants and Young Children (0 –3 Years of Age)," was released in October at the National Conference and Exhibition of the AAP.
