Hopkins Receives Kaleida Spirit Award

L. Nelson Hopkins, professor and chair of the Department of Neurosurgery, chief of service for neurosurgery at Kaleida Health, recently was honored by Kaleida Health with the Spirit Award for helping to improve the health of the Western New York community.

Hopkins received the award during the 12th annual Kaleida Ball, which raises funds to support stroke, cardiac care, diabetes and geriatrics within the health system, as well as the emergency room expansion at Millard Fillmore Suburban and Buffalo General hospitals.
