Computing sites open late for finals

Students: need a safe, quiet area for some last-minute studying before finals week? UB provides many public computing site locations on both North and South Campus that are open late, so that you can prepare to ace that exam any time of day or night.

Located in the Silverman Library at Capen Hall on the North Campus, the Silverman Library 3rd Floor computing site is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (with some exceptions around the holidays). 

Silverman also features both 38” and 49” bring your own device ultra-wide monitors, iMac stations with Adobe Creative Cloud and over 100 public computers open to students.

Lockwood Library

Lockwood Library, the largest of UB’s libraries, is located on North Campus, right next to Baldy Hall. It features two public computing sites on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The library and public computing sites are open until midnight on most nights with varying hours on weekends and holidays. 

Lockwood 2nd and 3rd Floor public computing sites altogether feature more than 30 public computers, and several UB Print Anywhere kiosks, and library research stations. 

Abbott Library

The Abbott Library in Abbott Hall on South Campus features public computing sites on the 1st and 3rd floors. The library and public computing sites are also open until midnight on most nights, with varying hours on weekends and holidays. 

Abbott altogether feature more than 30 PC stations and a handful of library research stations and UB Print Anywhere kiosks. 

I live on campus. Any computing sites available in UB residence halls?

Absolutely! If you live in the Governors Complex on North Campus and have an authorized UB Card, Clinton Hall Room 114 has a public computing site that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for you. It features about half a dozen PC stations and a UB Print Anywhere kiosk. 

If you live in the Ellicott Complex on North Campus, the Blake Center computing site is available until 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays, and 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. 

The Blake Center is located at 167 Academic Center and features approximately 10 PC stations and two UB Print Anywhere kiosks (located just outside the Blake center).
