Starting January 20, 2025, you will notice a different sign-in screen when you first log on to UB Zoom. Here’s what you need to know.

New sign-in screen for UB Zoom requires full email address

When you first sign-in to UB Zoom starting January 20th, you will be taken to a different log in screen that looks like the image below:

University at Buffalo sign-in screen when first logging into Zoom. Please enter your full UB email address and select next.

Enter your full UBmail address (ex: jdoe@buffalo.edu) and password to sign-in to UB Zoom.  Make sure you enter your full UB email address, not just your UBITName.

You may also be asked to verify your identity with Duo two-step verification

UBIT is changing this single sign-on (SSO) process to provide a consistent login experience for students, faculty, and staff.

Update Zoom app before February 1st

If you haven’t already done so, make sure your Zoom app is updated by February 1, 2025 on all your devices to avoid disruptions during the semester.
