Merchandise Committee Chair Application

Hi everyone,

The Merchandise Committee is looking for its next chair for the upcoming year. As the current chair, I have had the opportunity to help plan, design, and coordinate merchandise that represents the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences community, and I am looking to transition the role to a new student leader.

The Merchandise Committee is a student-run initiative created to help represent the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences through school-branded merchandise. Since the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences does not currently have an official school store, the committee helps fill that gap by developing merchandise that students, faculty, alumni, and members of the broader community can purchase and wear to represent the school.

Serving as chair of the Merchandise Committee is a great leadership opportunity for someone interested in making a visible impact on the school and community. The Chair helps lead the planning, design, and creation of merchandise while working with students, school leadership, vendors, and other stakeholders to bring each project from an initial idea to a finished product.

This role also provides an opportunity to bring new ideas to the committee, strengthen school spirit, and continue building a sustainable student-led merchandise program for the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences community.

Applications will be open from Friday, September 11 through Friday, September 18 at 11:19 PM.

Apply here with the application link.

If you are interested in leadership, design, school spirit, or helping shape how the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is represented, I encourage you to apply.

If you have any questions about the position or what the role involves, please feel free to reach out to me at ethanton@buffalo.edu.

All the best,

Ethan Tong
