Lauracinnie Jenkins.

Jenkins moved to Buffalo to attend the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

She joined the faculty and became medical director at the Deaconess Family Medicine Center, a part of the Department of Family Medicine. The department has been training medical residents since 1969, making it one of the first three family-medicine residency programs in the United States.

Jenkins later served as a clinical associate in the family medicine program at Duke University.
