Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences

The University at Buffalo’s Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus at 955 Main Street (not on South Campus or North Campus). The school is located in close proximity to many Buffalo hospitals with John R. Oishei Children's Hospital and Buffalo General Medical Center across the street and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center only a few block away.  The school is located directly above the Allen-Medical Campus rail station on the corner of High and Main streets.

Visitors can enter the building through the main entrance at the corner of Main Street and High Street. They will be required to buzz in and then stop at one of the security desks before entering the building.

Getting Here

Taking the NFTA Rail/Bus

Visitors are encouraged to park at the LaSalle Park-and-Ride Station or the University Park-and-Ride Station and take the rail to and from the Allen-Medical Campus Station. Trains depart weekdays beginning at 5:36 a.m. The last train arrives at the University Station at 12:20 a.m.

NFTA buses are also encouraged as a means of transportation. The NFTA Trip Planner is a useful tool to determine the best route to the medical school.

Visitor Parking

There are several visitor parking options available on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. Off-street and on-street parking is available in designated locations. Visitors of the Jacobs School of Medicine are encouraged to park in the 854 Ellicott Street Ramp (behind Oishei's Childrens Hospital) or the 134 High Street Ramp on the corner of Michigan and High Street. Valet parking is available at the Gates Vascular Institute, Buffalo General, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and at the Doubletree Hotel. On-street metered parking is also available on surrounding streets on the campus, in Allentown and the Fruit Belt community.
