Research Description

My research focuses on understanding the transcriptional control mechanisms in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Specifically, my project focuses on the functional role of the p53-family member, p63, and the downstream effectors it regulates. I aim to elucidate the molecular mechanism by which p63 controls downstream target gene expression and how that gene expression regulates important processes in cancer such as the Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition.
