The Intracellular and Extracellular pH Sensitivities of the Proton-Conducting Transmembrane Protein Slc4a11
Research Description
I currently study membrane protein Slc4a11 using electrophysiology. My current focus is identifying residues of the protein responsible for sensing pH changes, as well as characterizing disease-causing mutations. I’d like to better understand its the protein’s role in the corneal endothelial cells.
