Teaching and Learning Facilities

The breadth and excellence of our teaching resources makes our department an outstanding place to advance your education and training.

Thanks to generous support from Ralph C. Wilson Jr. — founder and Hall of Fame owner of the Buffalo Bills — and his wife, Mary Wilson, our program can give you the advantage of participating in cadaveric arthroscopy sessions and learning surgical skills using state-of-the-art models with unlimited repeatability.
Our dedicated Clinical Competency Center prepares medical students for national competency exams with real-world interactive scenarios featuring standardized patients.
The Office of Medical Computing manages the school’s “smart” classrooms, maintains our computer labs, loans multimedia equipment and provides installation and support for university-related software and hardware.
Supporting both research and teaching, University at Buffalo shares core instrumentation facilities and a transgenic animal facility with its affiliated institutions.
This lab supports anatomy instruction with 32 dissection tables and onsite specimen storage. Its adjacent lecture hall permits anatomical demonstrations for large groups.

Our classrooms, training facilities and lecture halls take full advantage of multimedia and electronic connectivity.

Our library system boasts an extensive collection of books, journals and databases including Medline, ClinicalKey and Evidence Based Medicine Reviews. We also offer access to a wide variety of clinical resources through HUBNET.
