This course will explore issues brought to society's attention since the introduction of the phrase “Digital Divide” to education. Assumptions of technology as "culture free" will be challenged while providing a theoretical framework for interpreting recent innovations. Research-tested and practice-based responses to dilemmas like access, usage, and knowledge domains inserted by technology implementation will be explored in an attempt to promote a more equitable society.
