The American Medical Association Medical Student Section (AMA-MSS) is dedicated to representing medical students, improving medical education, developing leadership and promoting activism for the health of America.
The UB chapter of the AMA-MSS is the university’s largest medical student organization and one of the most active student chapters of the AMA in the country. Our chapter has received multiple accolades, including being named the AMA-MSS National Chapter of the Year.
Our primary goals are to encourage members to remain active in community service and to undertake leadership positions in the AMA, the Medical Society of the State of New York and the Medical Society of Erie County. We host educational events in area schools, biking and exercise events for the Buffalo community, fundraisers for local organizations and more.
