Talented undergraduate and dental students came together on July 29 to present biomedical research they performed over the summer in programs at UB and Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute (HWI).
The students, hailing from around the country, took part in the inaugural Combined Summer Research Day.
The event was held at HWI and was attended by 80 people.
It featured the work of students participating in the following programs:
Timothy Murphy, MD, senior associate dean for translational research at UB, presented the keynote address, in which he introduced the students to opportunties to bring basic research to the bedside.
